I am so used to being in charge of promoting my products that I had a surprise the other day.

I am teaching at John C. Campbell Folk School!!! WooHoo!! It is so very exciting and an honor to teach a one week long workshop on Illuminated Paper! We will learn the process for hand made paper, make it press leaves and flowers into the paper and then construct a lamp!! Want to come? Know someone who would love this class, please share and spread the word. I can't wait to teach at JCC and have the experience!
Come join me! I'd love to meet new friends. What is new with you in the New Year? Whaaaat?!? It is the 17th day of January! Do you every wonder where did the time go? I do and I have been so busy, yeah, right you say! Teaching full time at a public elementary school does take my time and energy. So by Sunday night, I am rested and working on my online businesses, then the time runs out and it is back to work on Monday. My focus returns to the projects I am creating with my students. Lots of fun media and a variety of creative levels keep my mind occupied. Enough of me, what are you doing this new year? Plans for the future? Dreams you are turning into reality? Comment and share! I'd love to hear your thoughts! Well, good things have happened in marblemajik.etsy.com since I last posted. Two new product lines are launching-- baby one piece garments are listed in my shop. They have been popular at craft shows. New moms like the various colors and designs which hide stains!
Next, I have marbled scarves. I had to have a friend help because the scarves are 5-6 feet long. Placement is important for a seamless transition from dry scarf to the wet surface. The outcome is stunning! I have not had a chance to list any in the store, yet. They have sold off my Fan page! Check out my FB page Painting Pam and Paper too for some images. Spring is just around the corner! I saw a great visual showing the brick corner of a building and a red spring peeking around it!!!
It made me laugh. Yes, even with all this cold weather, spring is coming and do is proms and weddings. Are you involved in planning one of these events or attending one? Well now is the time to buy bow tie for your men. Look around and find the most original! Wow, what a weekend!!
Look at that thermometer!! Nearly 64 degrees the first weekend of February!! It has been an awesome weekend starting yesterday when I marbled 13 pairs of socks!! Lucky Number, right!? I am preparing for summer craft shows. This morning, I finished an awesome colored pencil drawing. I have enjoyed connecting with my personal creativity, just for me. That "me time" is so important. Then, this afternoon with the temperature in the 60's, I was able to make paper in the garage studio!! In fact is was a custom order for paper. I had the doors open like it was summer. Other than wearing 2 shirts and blue jeans, it was just like creating in the summer. Enough of me, what did you do this weekend? I hope your Saturday was as awesome as mine. Let me know.. Bow ties are returning in popularity for men and women! Choose one for your friends and family that is the only one.
How you ask? Marbling is a unique process of floating paint on a thick gel like surface. The design is created is by drawing combs and picks through the paint. The paint is transfered by surface dry fabric to wet paint. Therefore, each organization of paint drops is unique and each bowtie will be that original too. Check out http://etsy.com/shop/marblemajik for those marbled items. Can you see the Christmas tree? It brings the my mind the song in the title of this post!
The Christmas fern is so named because it is evergreen just like Christmas trees. Look closely at each individual leaflet and imagine if you will a Santa sleigh. Here is another good way to remember the name of the fern. Many stories similar to this were passed down through the generations so people would know the plants living around them. I enjoy using plant leaves like this in my lamps. Check out this lamp section: https://www.etsy.com/shop/papermajik?section_id=7133413 Also, the discount code blackgold will save you 15% at checkout this weekend. Happy Thanksgiving. Every store is all a buzz about Black Friday savings. Well, my stores will offer savings in the form of coupon codes.
Marblemajik on etsy will give shoppers, you, 20% off purchases of marbled bow ties, neck ties, baby shirts, children, and adult t shirts. Type in the code blackgold at checkout and the savings will show up! Sweet. You won't have to leave your home and fight the madding crowds. Your package will be sent the first week in December. Papermajik will give 15% off with the code blackgold. You will find one of a kind cards to send for the holidays, journals for artists and writers and recycled journals for the Eco conscious friends.
